Gentacin ointment medicine is antibiotics to be applied on skin. It’s type is aminoglycoside antibiotic. Gentacin ointment effectively inhibits bacterial growth and is effective in treating local infections and bacterial diseases on skin.
Active component: Gentamicin sulfate 0.1%.
Medical effect: treats skin infections, prevents bacterial growth.
Dosage and administration: apply small amount of ointment on infection area / problem area 1-3 times a day. For details in your case please advice doctor.
Precautions and contraindications:
- General dosage regimen: Apply the ointment on the affected area, or on the gauze and apply it on the affected area, once to several times daily.
Strictly follow the instructions of your doctor/pharmacist.
- If you are ordered to use this medicine on regular schedule and you missed a dose, apply as soon as possible. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. DO NOT use double doses to make up for the missed dose.
- If you used too much of the medicine (more than ordered), check with your doctor/pharmacist.
Please keep this medicine out of reach of children in cool dry place. Do not expose medicine to sunlight, high temperature or high moisture. In case any of adverse effects described above appear, please stop using medicine and advice doctor if necessary. Allergy reaction is possible in less then 1% of cases, please pay attention.

- If you ever experienced any allergic reaction (itch, rash etc.) to any medicine.
